SMART-TRIAL has 17 different question types, which allows you to module your data gathering the way that suits your study. Some of the question types requires you to give answer possibilities, some lets the subject answer via free text and some lets the subject chose between date, time or duration.
To get the best result in your data gathering and make it easier for yourself to analyze the data gathered in your study, try to keep the questions and answers possibilities as simple as possible.
